Concrete Seawall Hydrology | Dewatering Solutions
Concrete seawalls experience tremendous amounts of active pressure pushing the wall out. The pressure consists of both lateral earth pressure and hydrostatic water pressure. Think of “earth pressure” as the weight of the soil behind the wall that tries to push the wall out.
Our flush-mount weep hole system can easily be permanently installed on any earth retaining wall structure such as concrete seawalls. This video will show easy installation of the JET Filter weep hole installation.
The standard JET Filter System comes equipped with the highly rated TenCate Mirafi FW 300 series. This proven application provides long-term flow rates in dynamic and high gradient conditions. To ensure proper drainage relief, one of the key components to our JET Filter System is a removable inner filter cartridge that can be replaced or cleaned when needed. This simple step can be accomplished from the front side of the seawall structure without removing material behind the wall to replace the erosion control fabric.
