Bridge Abutment Dewatering Solutions

The JET Filter system is ideal for dewatering bridge abutments, wing walls, and slope protection.

The JET Filter is a flush mount geocomposite wick drainage system that can be permanently installed on the front side of the bridge abutment. It prevents loss of soil and backfill material through weep holes. Also, it is easily unclogged as needed to relieve panel stress.

Proper maintenance and inspections can also help avoid major disasters. Water run-off without drainage may weaken the structure by eroding the material that supports the structure. Furthermore, poor drainage may cause considerable challenges by settling behind the wall and saturating the soil with incredible pressure.
